The selection of candidates for admission to the Postgraduate Programme is carried out by the Coordinating Committee (CC) or by a committee of faculty members of the Department’s Postgraduate Programme, appointed by decision of the Department Assembly. The list of successful applicants is approved by the Department Assembly.
The selection process consists of two (2) phases:
1st Phase
Preliminary Selection
Submission and review of all required supporting documents, certification of English language proficiency, and completion of the scoring table for each applicant individually. The Department Assembly may set a minimum degree grade as a preselection threshold.
2nd Phase
Scoring Criteria
Ranking of applicants based on the number of points they obtain, as described in the table and according to the corresponding criteria.
| No. | Criterion | Maximum Points |
| 1 | Academic performance (undergraduate degree grade) | 35 |
| 2 | Professional experience | 30 |
| 3 | English language proficiency | 20 |
| 4 | Interview | 15 |
| Total Maximum Points | 100 |
Interview
This phase includes a personal interview, during which each applicant is evaluated by the members of the Selection Committee in terms of personality traits, breadth of knowledge, and willingness to engage in individual and collaborative work. Interviews are conducted either in person at the Department’s premises or online.
On the basis of the total score, the list of successful applicants for admission to the Postgraduate Programme is drawn up, as well as the reserve list, in case some successful applicants do not proceed with the completion of their registration. These lists are posted on the Postgraduate Programme website, and selected applicants are informed electronically and by telephone.
Explanation of the Scoring System
- The degree grade is divided into 500 hundredths, from 5.01 to 10.00. Each hundredth corresponds to 0.07 points (35/500), with a maximum of 35 points. The degree grade, expressed to two decimal places, is then multiplied by 0.07.
- Professional experience is awarded 3 points per year of experience, up to a maximum of 30 points for 10 or more years of experience.
- Possession of an English language certificate is awarded 20 points for excellent knowledge (C2), 15 points for very good knowledge (C1), and 10 points for good knowledge (B2).
- The interview is awarded a maximum of 15 points.
Note
One or more of the certificates described in Appendix D of the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) shall be accepted as proof of English language proficiency.
