Programme Aims
- To educate and prepare executives employed in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector organisations by providing them with the necessary knowledge, competencies, skills, and values to contribute effectively to the development of Greek businesses and organisations, and, more broadly, to the growth of the Greek economy.
- To provide the necessary high-level knowledge and to develop the competencies, skills, and values required for the preparation of specialised scientists and future business executives who are familiar with contemporary developments in the fields of Business Administration and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and who are capable of staffing the production and administrative functions of businesses and organisations in both the private and public sectors, at both the strategic and operational levels, and of addressing the contemporary challenges of Business Administration in a globalised economic environment.
- To prepare and develop new and dynamic entrepreneurs with an entrepreneurial mindset based on innovation and an outward-looking orientation, capable of meeting the demands of a globalised market, so as to contribute effectively to the development of Greek businesses and public sector organisations, particularly in the wider region of Macedonia and Thrace.
Programme Learning Objectives
- To provide employees and business and organisational executives with the knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in a business environment.
- To develop an analytical, creative, and integrative understanding of the business environment.
- To develop students’ ability to analyse, evaluate, and apply their knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues in Business Administration with a view to improving organisational practice.
- To prepare executives who embrace the principles and skills of lifelong learning and personal development, enabling them to work with autonomy and creativity and to contribute to the development of businesses and society as a whole.
- To encourage students to develop leadership skills through self-management, the management of work teams, and an understanding of the concept of management.
- To gain an in-depth understanding of organisational management and of the constantly changing environment in which organisations operate, through a range of practical applications.
- To develop students’ ability to think and learn through experience and, therefore, to integrate new knowledge with existing experiences that can be applied to new situations.
- To challenge students to evaluate their assumptions and free themselves from subjective limitations, so that they can handle complex situations in a systematic manner.
- To develop interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues in formal or informal groups.
